This weeks VHI Healthcare Match Previews This weekends Vhi Healthcare Club Championship fixtures will be dominated by some of the biggest names of the game as the stars line out in both the Munster and Connacht Championships. The Munster Senior, Intermediate and Junior finals take place in Limerick this Saturday and four of Corks All Ireland winning side will line out for Inch Rovers in the Senior final against Kerry outfit Southern Gaels. Player of the Match in the All Ireland final, Angela Walsh will line up along side Ciara Walsh, Anne Marie Walsh and Amy OSe, all of whom were part of Corks three in a row winning panel. However Rovers will be without influential forward Mary OConnor who missed the All Ireland final through injury and has since been diagnosed with a fractured kneecap. Southern Gaels can call on their own big guns as former All Star and International Rules captain Sarah OConnor will be joined up front by fellow All Star and international soccer representative Kacie ODriscoll. In the Intermediate final Corks Mourneabbey take on Cooraclare from the Banner County. Mourneabbey are a very young side who can boast nine players who were part of this years Cork All Ireland Minor winning team. Cooraclare won their second consecutive county title this year and will be hopeful of becoming the first Clare side to win an All Ireland Club Championship title. West Clare Gaels can count on the vast experience of County captain Majella Griffin as they take on Casleisland Desmonds from Kerry in the Junior final. The other key fixtures of the weekend take place in Connacht as Carnacon, last years runners-up in the Senior All Ireland Club Championships, host Geevagh of Sligo. The Mayo outfit will have the services of 2007 Golden Boot winner Cora Staunton despite the fact that the star forward is scheduled for a knee operation before Christmas. In the other semi-final of the Connacht Senior Club Championship Aughawillian of Leitrim take on Corofin. Aughawillian are a very strong outfit with the core of their team providing the backbone to the Leitrim side that won this years All Ireland Intermediate title. Sarah McLoughlin the Irish Independent/Lucozade Sport Player of the Month for September will lead the line for Aughawillian and will be ably supported by fellow county stars Catherine Holohan, Mary McKeon, Maeve Quinn, and Eimear McGlade.
