The Tyrone ladies GFA have confirmed the support of several new sponsors and have unveiled a new kit this week as the build up to the Ulster senior football championship builds up. In a double deal that will boost the coffers of the ladies game, Time bar and Venue in Cookstown who also boast the Ruby’s venue in the West of the County in Strabane, have come on board as the new senior team and adult championship sponsor. Confirming the deal this week and unveiling an exciting new design from O’Neill’s international sportswear, County Chairman Martin Conway spoke of his delight in the support, “It’s a real boost to the ladies game in the county, I have to thank the management of Time and especially marketing manager and our senior player Laura McGillian for her help in pulling together such a great deal, not only will the name of Time be on our shirts but they have also committed support for the adults championships” Tyrone’s adult championships are some of the most competitive and well run in the ladies game and this financial boost will enable the county board to boost the brand of the championship and Time. Hunky Dorys continue to support the Tyrone ladies, the main sponsor of Tyrone GAA are still heavily involved with the senior, under 21 and minor squads, that too welcomed by the County senior captain Gemma Begley who attended the new kit launch on Monday. ” We are delighted to have Hunky Dorys still with us, it’s important to have that link across the GAA family, as players we appreciate everyone who supports us and the announcement of these deals is a real lift as we get ready to play Armagh in June” Time bar and venue marketing manager Laura McGillion was also happy with the link to the Ladies GFA as they hosted the official launch and adult draws on Monday evening. “We are happy to be involved and happy to be able to support the fastest growing ladies sport in the world, I hope this will be the start of a long term relationship between ourselves here at Time and Ruby’s with the Tyrone ladies” The new kit design, personally overseen by O’Neill’s International managing director Kieran Kennedy, has a bold new look and as always with O’Neill’s it features the highest quality of manufacture and is specifically designed for the rigors of highly competitive sport, good for the kit and great for the sportsperson. Several other new sponsors were confirmed on Monday night, Dernaseer Engineering, from Cabragh will sponsor the counties U16 team, that following on from Declan McKenna’s main sponsorship of last years Red Hand Rumble. Quarry King Ltd have also been confirmed as a Juvenile team sponsor. ADULT CHAMPIONSHIPS DRAWN With the official launch of Time bar and venue as the new kit and adult championship sponsor this week the county board also carried out the draws for this years senior, Intermediate, junior and junior b football championships. The blue ribband of the Tyrone adult championships is the senior football competition and already the excitement is building with a couple of great ties in the opening round. New girls Cappagh will face Errigal Ciaran while champions Carrickmore play Glenelly. Sigersons making their senior championship bow meet Killeshil while in the tie of the round St Macartans play Aodh Ruadh. Ahead of league competition it would be hard to single out any favorites in the Intermediate grade and when one considers the quality in the second tier this season it would be madness to even consider who will emerge. Omagh, Ardboe, Loughmacrory and Sperrin Og all have pedigree at this level while it would be foolish to rule out junior champions Agyharan. The junior championship boasts the biggest field with three first round ties ahead of the quarter finals while junior B has just one quarter final ahead of the last four. The draw for the 2014 Ladies Adult Championship was made on Monday evening at Time Bar & Venue in Cookstown and the following is a summary of the opening games with dates and venues to be confirmed.
