Tyrone League Gets Underway

The Tyrone ladies adult football league’s have got up and running  with some high scoring and quality games in all three divisions. There were opening day wins for newly promoted Glenelly, Omagh and Killeeshill while as expected St Macartan’s and Errigal Ciaran set out their stalls in this division one campaign. Glenelly edged out Carrickmore at Pairc Colmcille, Cara McCrossan hit 1-9 as Omagh eased past Cappagh while Killeeshill outgunned Clann na nGael. Shannon Quinn(pictured) picked up an ankle injury as Errigal beat Sperrin Og as favourites St Macartan’s looked strong, Joline Donnelly scored a brace of goals as they crushed Dungannon.

Drumragh in Intermediate football for the first time turned in a good display and secured a draw at Aghyaran while Donaghmore and Ardboe got off the mark. Clonoe were the biggest winners of the day as they debuted with Aghaloo in adult football for the first time.
