30 April 2003 Tyrone Under-14 Ladies face their Fermanagh counterparts Share this Article 0 0 0 Shares! 0 Shares! Tyrone Under-14 Ladies face their Fermanagh counterparts in the second round of the Ulster Under-14 championship, to be played at a Fermanagh venue (Throw-in 3pm, venue TBA) This will be the Red Hand girls second outing, having defeated Derry in the previous round. Fermanagh, on the other hand, had a bye in the last round so this could prove to be quite a test in their first competitive fixture. Fermanagh football, despite the plight of their senior side, is experiencing somewhat of a resurgance at underage level, and Tyrone will hope to use the fixture to avenge their Ulster Under-16 semi-final loss to the Erne girls last week, and will be spurred on by the knowledge that they recorded a victory at this stage last year against the same opposition. Joint captains Maeve Cobane (An Charraig Mhór) and Laura Mc Gillion (Fr Rocks) will hope to inspire the Red Hand girls to another victory in this round-robin phase, and in doing so ensure Tyrones passage to the next stage.
