UL Duo Make History with O'Connor Cup Victory

University of Limerick clinched the O’Connor Cup on Saturday in Belfast when they defeated the defending champions and tournament hosts, Queen’s University Belfast, after a magnificent second half display in which they kept their opposition scoreless.

Player of the match, Julia White and sharp shooter Niamh O’Dea created their own little piece of history when they added the O’Connor Cup to the Ashbourne Cup in Camogie that they had won earlier this year. They spoke to Jerome Quinn after the final whistle in Belfast to explain their delight at the amazing achievement.
