Tyrones Under 16 B side claimed a big win over Derry at the weekend as the Ulster campaign opened.

6-11 to 2-5 the final score after Tyrone trailed at the break. Finola Conwell top scored with 2-2 before picking up a knee injury.

 

The Tyrone Teamtalk minor leagues continued at the weekend with wins for Cil Iseal and Drumquin, the focus now though centres on the minor championship that features at the end of March.

Donaghmore came into this match off the the back of a convincing win last week over Glenelly (3:2) to Donaghmore’s(6:9) .
This match was a more closely contested encounter, and could have gone either way. Both teams scored points from unbelievable angles and distances and at half time there were only 2 points seperating the sides. The display was a fine example of gaelic football at its best, in that neither team had a player cautioned or carded, and produed an enthralling and skilful match from throw in to the final whistle, for which both teams should be congratulated
