Ladies Gaelic Football Announce Major Sponsorship Deal Vhi Healthcare to sponsor All-Ireland Club Championships The Ladies Gaelic Football Association today announced that Vhi Healthcare will sponsor the All-Ireland Club Championships for an initial period of two years at junior, intermediate and senior levels. 2006 is the 30th anniversary of the competition and the Vhi Healthcare All-Ireland Club finals will take place in late November. The partnership with Vhi Healthcare is a major boost to Ladies Gaelic Football, which last week saw over 25,600 attend the All-Ireland finals in Croke Park while 230,000 people watched the games live on TG4. There are now over 100,000 playing members in over 1,000 clubs across Ireland and overseas and this year will also see the inaugural women’s International Rules series taking place. It was also announced that Vhi Healthcare will partner with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association to host a series of health seminars in clubs throughout Ireland in 2007 with a view to provide lifestyle and health advice to sportswomen nationwide. Ms Geraldine Giles, President of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association said: “We seek sponsorship partners in Ladies Football that will work with us to promote our games. Ladies Football has never been so popular or played by so many people all over the country. Vhi Healthcare is an ideal partner for us and we look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship over the coming years.
