Defending league champions, Monaghan got their TESCO HomeGrown National Football League campaign off to a winning start as they overcame their fierce rivals, Cork, in Iniskeen. A Cathriona McConnell goal was the difference between the sides as Monaghan claimed the victory after enduring a shaky start.
