VIDEO PODCAST SERIES FOR CLUB AND COUNTY OFFICERS LAUNCHED

The GAA and LGFA today launched a new video podcast series which shares case studies of excellent work being done by Club and County Officers. This series will explore stories of how Club and County Officers successfully undertook initiatives to improve their units and local communities.

Episode one features Aidan Murray (Chairperson of Caltra GAA) and Mattie Kilroy (Central Council Delegate for Galway and member of the Club) discussing how a small rural Club, who have previously achieved All-Ireland Senior Football Club success, have strategically developed their playing and community facilities over the past 10 years through innovative community-based fundraising initiatives.

This video podcast series will aim to provide Club and County Officers with inspiration and ideas that will hopefully benefit their units and the community for years to come. Aidan and Mattie discuss how this project embeds both elements of history in the Club but also how it looks to the future.

This initiative has been developed by the GAA’s Officer Development Committee and led by Alan Mongey (Planning and Training Officer, Galway), Michelle Healy (PRO, Galway), Gerard Bradley (IT Officer, Tyrone) and Jack McCarney (Planning and Training Officer, GAA).

There are more episodes in the pipeline, and these will be released in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to the GAA Learning Twitter page for further episodes and resources.
