Believe or not it’s the time of year again when we have to dust
off the cobwebs from the boots and gear and think of the New Year.
Waterford Senior Ladies start their 2008 National League program
on February 3rd with a home match against Leitrim, winners of
the 2007 All Ireland Intermediate Final. Their second match is
also a home match on the 17th February, against old rivals Clare,
who are the 2007 Munster Intermediate Champions.

Waterford have an away match on the 2nd March to West Meath followed
by another home match against Sligo on the 16th March. Trials
will be held on Friday December 28th at 1.30 pm (sharp) in St
Augustine’s (The Friary). Any players interested in participating
in the trials should confirm their attendance in advance to either
Mike Guiry (087- 9189231) or Peter Jordan (087-2442966).

Congratulations to Rebecca Hallahan (Ballymacabry) and Mary O’Donnell
(Old Parish) who will be traveling to Dubai at the end of January
with the Ladies All Stars. Also to Aoife McGovern (St Pats) and
Amy Martin (Tramore) who played on the Underdog’s team that beat
the New York All Stars.
