Weekend Championship Preview

GROUP 1

Mayo were ruthless in their destruction of Waterford last week and with Kerry losing to Dublin, the Kingdom could be in for a torrid afternoon.  Dublin are on a high and a win over Waterford will virtually guarantee the Jackies a place in the quarter-finals.  The Dubs are expected to sneak the result in this tight affair.

Cork showed their experience and metal against Galway and they are expected to raise the bar again against Monaghan.  The Farney women had a good win over Roscommon last weekend but

Laois are the form side in Group 3 and may just be too strong for this experienced Sligo outfit.  Ulster finalists Tyrone put in an impressive performance against Laois last week and they are expected to record their first win of the group stages at the expense of Donegal this weekend.

Both Meath and Armagh got off to winning starts last week but this is a must win game for Meath.  Armagh are the favourites but expect a strong showing from the Royals.

Kildare should have too much for Down and are desperate to pick up a win after opening their campaign with a loss.
