LADIES FOOTBALL: The defending All-Ireland champions
Cork earned up an impressive victory over Waterford in the TG4 Munster
Ladies SFC at Dungarvan on Saturday, winning by 3-15 to 1-11. 

A brace of goals from Amanda Murphy gave them a 2-11 to 1-2 interval
lead. Niamh Briggs scored Waterford’s goal. Caoimhe Creedon found
the net in the second half to ensure the victory.

Meath laid down a marker in the Leinster championship yesterday
with a 2-19 to 3-8 victory over Dublin in Westmanstown. The Royals
led 1-9 to 2-4 at half-time. Meath then chalked up a huge score
in the second half.

In the TG4 Ulster Championship quarter-final yesterday, Armagh
beat Donegal 3-15 to 2-3 at Clones.

The Orchard led 2-10 to 1-2 at half-time with goals from Patricia
McAvoy and Bronagh O’Donnell.
