We welcome Bord Gais Energy on board as the new sponsor of our National League 2009. This is a great achievement for the Association at a time of recession and economic downturn. The official launch will take place in Croke Park on Tuesday February 3rd. We trust that the relationship will prove equally beneficial to both parties.

Congratulations to Dublin Ladies Senior Panel on a splendid away win against last year’s beaten All-Ireland finalists, Monaghan, in the first round of the Bord Gais Energy National League on a scoreline of 4-7 to 1-7. Dublin led by 1-5 to 0-2 at half time. The game was played in Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan. Detailed report on the website.

Dublin play Kildare in their first home league game on 15th February. Venue still to be decided.

Congratulations to Cumann Lúthcleas Gael on the splendid celebration of 125 years of the Association. The quality of the game between Dublin and Tyrone and the festivities that followed were a joy to behold. Well done to all concerned. Congratulations to referee Marty Duffy for a job well done. Marty refereed ladies football up until recently including two All-Irelands.

The Executive Committees of Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football and Dublin Camogie met recently. A framework of fixture dates will be available in mid-February. Adult camogie will feature on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Adult ladies football will feature as usual on Wednesdays with Mondays catering for any overflow.

FUNdamentals Coaching Course, Fingallians, Saturday 7th February, 6 hours duration. Only a few places left.

Note – 9th February – Deadline for Affiliation to Dublin Ladies Gaelic football for Clubs.

Senior Development Trials – 6th February & 8th February.
Minor Trials – All players who attended trials so for are invited back on the 5th February.
