‘There has been a lot of change since last year, we definitely missed the old management as everyone got on so well, but Shane has been brilliant since he has come in and has really put his own slant on things’ Murphy said when asked about the changes off the field in January.  Roisin spoke of ‘her excitement of seeing so many young players on the team, it keeps us all going’, while she also stated ‘it’s always sad when players move on’  but she is so happy to see the interest in the sport in the county really peaking since their All Ireland win in September 2014.

When asked on the league campaign, Murphy noted the ‘heart and steel’ they have taken from the close games they won and lost, hoping it will bode well for Sunday’s challenge.  ‘It’s definitely a long journey, but training has gone well and we are really looking forward to it’, when asked about their travels across to London, and with this being the first Wexford team to play in London in the sport Roisin spoke of the teams ‘excitement’ about their championship opener. ‘It will be a great bonding weekend for the team’ said Murphy and she hopes that a positive result on Sunday ‘will set them up for another exciting championship season’.
