Final Score: Clonee 4-13 to Monageer 3-0

 

Both teams took time to settle in this game, but were playing some good football. Clonee were first on the score board with pts from Megan Murray and Mairead Sheehan, but Monageer looked dangerous when they broke free in front of the clonee goal. The game was played at a fast pace with talented footballers on both sides. It was an even playing field in the first half with Monageer taking their chances and putting the ball in the clonee net three times, Mary Sinnott getting her hat trick with some good ball work. Where clonee were picking off some well-played points, and lead at half Clonee 1-7 to Monageer 3-0.

When play resumed Clonee upped a gear and made speedy tracks to Monageer’s net with Mairead Sheehan and Megan Murray both on fine form putting the ball over and under the net. And Katie Kehoe and Ciana Fitzgearld getting a point each, Monageer battled hard and although failed to score in the second half it doesn’t reflect the football they played throughout the game. So it was Clonee celebrating at the final whistle with a score Clonee 4-13 to Monageer 3-0.
