Gaelic Games National Child Welfare Audit

The first Gaelic Games national child welfare audit, under the auspices of the National Child Welfare and Protection Committee, takes place from 26 June to 6 July 2017.

During this period the GAA, LGFA and Camogie will through our Clubs and County Children’s Officers seek via an on-line audit to capture data that informs us as to our adherence to child welfare and protection policies and particularly how we fulfil our safeguarding responsibilities at Club and County level.

Two parallel Child Welfare audits take place from 26 June to 6 July, namely a Club Audit and the County Child Welfare Audit.  The accompanying document, Child Welfare Audit Information outlines in more detail how to access and complete the audit.

I would be grateful if you could forward this email to all Club Secretaries in the County requesting that they in turn pass it on to their Club Children’s officers.

Finally, a reminder that the audit is accessible at http://www.gaa.ie/the-gaa/child-welfare-and-protection/welfare-audit and we request that the audit be completed on-line and submitted by 6 July 2017.
